The Open House Party streambox system is experiencing problems this evening and streamboxes are not connecting to the system to receive the show. The guys working for the OHP network are working to correct the problem. Please stand by.

a note from the folks at Clear Channel Satellite

Last night  at approximately 10:56p ET we had a component on an encoder card burn up which effected the entire XDS MUX –A chassis. Approximately  11:01p we had the system switched to the redundant MUX –B chain, the outage was about 5 minutes in duration. We have since corrected the issue with MUX-A but will remain on MUX –B until a further date. We have had some calls from different networks reporting some receivers are locked but not receiving audio. The fix has been a soft reboot or a power cycle. “Hard power cycles will sometimes create a CF error which will need to be repaired.”

Email me if there are any questions.

Due to severe weather conditions at the Massachusetts head end for Party Playhouse, the the first 28 minutes of the show did not air. The time of the outage was 7:00 PM to 7:28 PM eastern time. This event was totally unforeseen and happened without any notice. We apologize for the disruption of service.

On Thursday August 14th, 2014 starting at approximately 6:57 PM eastern time to about 7:23 PM eastern time the satellite head end in Denver at Clear Channel experienced a severe power glitch. The geo feedback system that keeps their uplink dish perfectly aligned crashed and moved the uplink dish OFF AMC-8. This malfunction took ALL Clear Channel Satellite Service affiliates off the air (XDS and Starguide) for that time period until the dish could be manually realigned. All network activity for USRN ceased as part of this interruption – including Night’s with Alice Cooper, Party Playhouse, Bloomberg and the Tom Kent Network.

We here at USRN apologize for the interruption of services. But as you can see, it was a failure at a much higher level then we could control. During the interruption all receivers would have shown an ‘unlocked’ status. Once the uplink dish was realigned, all satellite receivers should have automatically gone back into service without any end user assistance. Please feel free to contact us here at USRN is you are still experiencing any receiver issues.

Thanks for you understanding – John Arndt, Director of Engineering, USRN
